Very windy today in Ottawa. There were a few brave souls out on the main skateway, either skating downbound against the wind, or upbound and letting the wind push them. We skated across the skateway into the Glebe Park but found the ice too cluttered with sticks being blown off the trees, so we went back out on to the main canal and tried to head up to the Pretoria Bridge. Such a long way to go without a break! I had to stop and rest a few times. My skates were too tight and my arches hurt. My lower back was aching when we called it quits just before the bridge at the Pretoria stairs.
